Have You Heard of the "Flying Spaghetti Monster"?
If you have an interest in Intelligent Design you've probably heard of the parody against it called the "Flying Spaghetti Monster." The idea was created by Bobby Henderson and used in a letter to State Board of Education of Kansas to "protest the use of textbook stickers promoting Intelligent Design." William Lane Craig explains it in a little more detail in this video and on his website Reasonable Faith. I've also included the picture submitted by Henderson to the Board of Education of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. What some intended as nothing more than a joke others have taken to be a serious objection to Intelligent Design.

You know, there was even a paper on the FSM read at the 2007 AAR meeting. All hail His Noodly Appendage! ;-)

Thanks for the link. I had a good laugh at "His Noodly Appendage."
If the creator of the universe is going to be a food item I certainly wouldn't have chosen spaghetti. The vacuum of space is absent of heat. No on likes cold spaghetti.
I would have chosen something like a Neopolitan Sundae. Something that would allude the beautiful (and delicious?) diversity and complexity found in creation.
(Yes, I did just assert that Neopolitan ice cream is complex. How else would you explain three delicious flavors in one perfect scoop?!)
